The Sofa2Summit Challenge is a fitness and wellness program designed to help participants gradually build strength, stamina, and confidence to achieve the challenging goal of climbing one of the highest mountains in the UK.
Anyone over the age of 18 can participate or 16-17 with a parent or guardian present.
The standard training plan runs for 12 weeks. However, if you need more time or prefer a slower pace, there’s an option to extend the plan to 16 weeks.
For most participants, comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots, weather-appropriate clothing, and a water bottle are sufficient. If the final goal is a mountain summit, gear requirements may vary depending on terrain and weather.
Your coach will ensure you meet the base criteria before starting the challenge. If after initial assessment you've been given the go ahead and you stick to the training plan there is a fantastic chance you will summit the mountain safely. If you get injured however, your coach on the guide is trained in outdoor first aid and will be able to assist and recommend what the best option is for you at the time.
The SOFA2SUMMIT challlenge offers group calls every month to keep participants motivated and connected. You will also be a part of the SOFA2SUMMIT group chat where you can message and share progress with other members.

It's like having your PT in your pocket. Unsure about an exercise? Need a quick motivational boost? We've got you covered with 24/7 access to your coach and the group chat for support.
GROUP COMMUNITY
Each month we hold a group meeting to get to know everyone else who's taking part. You'll also be included in a chat with people who share the same struggles and goals. Here you can share your successes and help pick each other up along the way.

Ben is a qualified personal trainer with over 10 years’ experience in fitness. Passionate about the power of the mountains, Ben believes they can help people build confidence, overcome fear, and find true self-belief.
That’s why he created SOFA2SUMMIT.

MEET & GREET
Meet your coach and group members at the campsite the day before the climb. We will then head down to the local pub for dinner and a few drinks

START THE CLIMB
Aim to begin around 9am with the expected summit time around 1pm where we can have lunch and soak in the views

Head back down the mountain around 2pm aiming to return back to the car park before 6pm

Head straight to the pub for some incredibly well deserved drinks and pizza! Celebrating everyones fantastic acheivements
